Every time you place an online order, a confirmation email lands in your inbox. Inside that email is a tracking number, a carrier name, and usually an estimated delivery window. The information exists. The problem is getting to it.

How Arrivd Reads Your Gmail
Arrivd uses Gmail OAuth, the same secure authorization protocol used by Google Calendar, Notion, and thousands of other apps that integrate with Google. Here's what that means in practice:
- You grant Arrivd read-only access to your Gmail. Arrivd cannot send emails, delete emails, or modify anything in your inbox.
- Arrivd scans for shipping confirmation and order update emails using natural language processing and pattern recognition.
- Tracking numbers are extracted and matched to the correct carrier from a library of 1,100+ supported carriers worldwide.
- Your package data is stored in the app, not on Arrivd's servers. Your emails are never stored, indexed, or used for advertising.

Is It Safe to Connect Gmail to Arrivd?
Yes. Arrivd uses OAuth 2.0, the industry standard for third-party app authorization. The connection is read-only: Arrivd can see your emails but cannot modify them, delete them, or send anything from your account. You can revoke access at any time from your Google Account settings. Arrivd does not store your emails on its servers.
